The village has an unspoilt charm about it, with many original buildings in the centre and on the quayside. The one road in and out allows the village to keep its olde-worlde charm while also connecting it to the rest of Cornwall. Travel is also possible by ferry in Polruan, with the connection to Fowey crossing the river regularly throughout the day. The journey takes just 5-10 minutes.

The village has everything you would expect and need on holiday: two pubs - one with a fascinating history behind it, a village shop, cafes and other local stores. You'll struggle to find any High Street brands in the village due to its remote overland location.
