Come rain or shine, this beautifully furnished, contemporary cottage is the perfect home-from-home for a seaside holiday. Sit out in the patio and enjoy the views, head to the harbour to watch the world go by, cook up a storm in the kitchen or stroll to the local inn for dinner. Fowey’s shops and restaurants are just across the water and there are plenty of lovely beaches nearby.
This charming property is set just 20m from the water’s edge near Polruan’s harbour mouth. The village’s position on a headland jutting out into an estuary meant that it once had great importance as a lookout point; now, you can share the same commanding views out to sea and across to Fowey on the far bank. Explore the maze of narrow streets and alleyways in the quaint village centre, visit the beautiful cliffside Headland Garden or join the South West Coast Path from the top of the village and walk to Polperro, passing remote beaches on the way. Fowey can be reached by regular passenger ferry from the quay and has a wide variety of bistros, cafes and restaurants. The house is all on one level. The cosy lounge area has harbour views and a wood burner for colder weather, and the kitchen has dining space for four. There are two bedrooms – one double and one twin, both with en-suite shower rooms.
To the rear is a courtyard and terraced garden with a raised patio area and a summerhouse with view of the estuary.
