Self-catering holiday accommodation in Lanteglos Highway
Situated slightly inland from the harbourside fishing village of Polruan, the village of Lanteglos Highway is situated in the north of the coastal civil parish of Lanteglos-by-Fowey. Just across the tidal estuary of the River Fowey, it is only 15 miles from the bustling maritime town of the same name which perches just above the Polperro Heritage Coast.
To the west of the parish lies the riverside village of Bodinnick, from where you can hop aboard a car ferry to Fowey with its selection of quirky shops and seafood restaurants. If you want to head further afield, Lanteglos Highway is the perfect place to base yourself to visit other places of interest such as Bodmin Moor, the Eden Project and the cathedral city of Truro.
For walkers and cyclists, the South West Coast Path runs along the sea’s edge of the village which offers wonderful walks with spectacular views. Interestingly, part of the lower part of the village lies on the Polruan to Polperro SSSI, now managed by the National Trust. A great area for dogs to explore, there are also a whole host of beaches nearby, one of which, Lantic Bay, is only 3 miles away to the south. Why not come to one of our cottages in Lanteglos Highway? Whether you are looking for a romantic break or a family holiday, we have the perfect cottage for you.
