The accommodation is perfectly located being around a 10 minute stroll from the town and also easy to get onto the coastal path; it had the advantage of great views, a decent sized parking space and was quiet. The property was spotlessly clean when we arrived and it was nice that some washing up liquid/cloths had been provided given there is no diRead moreshwasher. As other reviewers have said, the property could do with a bit of updating (namely the kitchen and bathroom). However, it was more than functional for our stay and the kitchen had sufficient crockery, cutlery and everything needed if you felt inclined to cook for yourself. The shower in the bathroom was excellent - instant hot water and powerful. There were a few minor negatives from our perspective: 1) No bathroom towels provided which is an inconvenience when travelling in a two seater car with limited boot space. 2) The arrival time of 4pm and departure time of 9am seem very mean-spirited! I know the cleaner needs time to do the amazing job she does but these timings are a throwback to Covid days and most have now reverted to a 3pm arrival/10am departure time. 3) Very, very small sofa in the living area - it was just about big enough for one person to sit on comfortably and watch TV but two was a bit squashed (and we are by no means large people, we just like to put our feet up and get comfy). A larger sofa or two smaller sofas would have been much more comfy for watching TV. 4) Bring a small torch - as is noted in the description there are quite a lot of steps to get to the property and once you are at the back of the main house area it is VERY dark with no lighting. The steps are dark wood so difficult to see at night. Although there is a light over the main entrance door and at the top of the wooden steps they are on timers and have gone off by the time you get back after eating out. Overall we had a great stay and the property was ideal for a week away - a few minor improvements would make it perfect. Hide

Lovely location and the view is amazing - definitely worth the 66 steps to get to the apartment. mile stroll to the small town with a good mix of shops - the Quay bakery is fantastic! Opposite direction to the beach then lots of areas to explore walking. Having a parking space is a bonus.

The property is very dated but generally in good order, and the housekeeper left it immaculate for our arrival, for which we were very grateful. The heating is very effective, so it was cosy warm. Everything worked. The view is nice, and having a parking space essential because this isn't one of those properties where you can just stop outside Read morethe door and throw everything in before going somewhere else to park (quite common for Cornish properties due to the type and location of premises). Two huge negatives - firstly, no Wifi and not even listed on the property description, so you can't make an informed decision about whether this property works for you or not, and secondly, the difficult access. The 60 steps are mentioned, as is the walkway, but on a wet week like we had, they were treacherous steps, and don't underestimate them or how difficult it is to unload when you have two heavy suitcases, a smaller one, two bags of food, carriers of Christmas gifts to wrap, several coats, pairs of boots and the bath towels. My husband went up and down those 60 difficult steps - even more so when your hands are full - more than 6 times to unload, and he was so out of breath and his glasses so steamed up by the end, the view was irrelevant! Note: the steps are a mixture of stone, slate, then a daunting double flight of wooden ones, then metal ones across the metal suspended walkway. All very slippy when wet. They don't supply bathroom towels. No idea why this is, when they supply a kitchen towel and tea towels. Very odd, never come across it before and we stay in self catering in Fowey several times a year. All in all, we made do, but we'd never stay in the property again. Hide

The view is wonderful, the location very good for access to Fowey. A comfortable apartment with everything you need except WiFi, which is unreliable in this location even in properties that have it. Useful to have parking, have to take the road slowly to spot the property. Usual hairy roads to reach this location. Only downside is climbing the stepRead mores with your luggage but you wouldnt have the view otherwise. Hide

A large apartment with stunning views across the Fowey River and out to sea. Situated just above Readymoney Cove, great for walks along the coast and not too far from all the amenities that they attractive town of Fowey has to offer. Well equipped and furnished (but no wifi), this was a very comfortable place to stay. With its own parking the onlyRead more downside was the climb up several flight of steps and then across a steel walkway to a final flight before reaching the apartment. If you don't mind the climb, a great place to stay. Hide
