This bright and welcoming apartment is set in a former station masters house within half a mile of the main hustle and bustle of Fowey. If you haven't yet discovered this picturesque town, you’re in for a treat. Multi-coloured cottages perched on hillsides lead down to the sea and you’ll find a good selection of independent shops and boutiques as well as friendly pubs and restaurants serving tempting local fare. Take the ferry to the pretty fishing ports of Looe and Polperro or try the spectacular Hall Walk to Polruan village, across the harbour. Fans of Daphne du Maurier may want to visit the Literary Centre, which explores the author’s life and work.
Two flights of stairs lead up to the apartment. The open-plan living space has ample comfortable seating and a dining table, and the kitchen area has a breakfast bar with stools for two people. There are two bedrooms: a galleried twin room with no door leading off from the living room and down a few stairs – there’s a selection of books and games here too – and a king-sized bedroom with built-in cupboards. The contemporary bathroom has a shower over the bath and the property has underfloor heating, a very welcome addition in colder weather.
The property has a garden to the rear and if you feel like stretching your legs the caffa mill is on your doorstep.
