This light-filled house for six guests on the idyllic Cornish coast is the perfect holiday base for families or friends of all ages to enjoy, with glorious beaches, clifftop walks and canoeing adventures on the doorstep. Polruan has shops, pubs and a small beach near the quay, where you can watch the passing water traffic. The National Trust beach of Lantic Bay (1.5 miles) is a beautiful, unspoiled stretch of sand and shingle, ideal for paddling and picnics. Discover the well-known Hall Walk historic, 4-mile footpath takes a circular route through Polruan past shaded woodland and creeks, with glimpses of Fowey Harbour through the trees. Take to the water by canoe, kayak or paddleboard to discover the hidden creeks and peaceful backwaters of the River Fowey. Drink in splendid views from the South West Coastal Path towards the fishing village of Polperro.

The airy first-floor living area offers floor-to-ceiling appealing views of the Fowey Estuary. Comfortable seating, Smart TV and an open fire create the living area’s welcoming feel. French doors from the living area open to a suntrap balcony with outdoor furniture, where you can enjoy outdoor dining while looking out across the water. A king-size bedroom also has an estuary view and there is a shower cubicle with WC. All three ground-floor bedrooms, one twin and two single-have the same lovely outlook to the river, and there is a bathroom with shower over the bath

This property has an amazing view and great kitchen and this was really good. The parking was great too. Sadly, the garden is not accessible and not enclosed so no good at all for dogs. This was an issue as we chose the house as dog owners. The cottage is very tired and needs some tlc - then it would be great choice and worth the money.

This cottage has the most incredible view, we spent hours looking at it. The house and the linen was also very clean when we arrived and well equipped. There were some downsides though, the garden is difficult to use comfortably and therefore the only outside space is outside the conservatory area where the view is not as good as from inside the prRead moreoperty. It wasnt an issue for us because the weather was changeable but on a hot summer week this would have been a problem. Hide

We booked this last minute and couldnt have been happier with our choice. An amazing property with beautiful views of the estuary across to Fowey. A very spacious property for a group of 6 adults as we had. An excellent base to explore that part of Cornwall including the Eden project. The small touches made such a difference including tea, coffee aRead morend biscuits being supplied. There were also tea towels, washing up liquid even dishwasher tablets. And plenty of towels supplied. The views from the bedrooms were also amazing. We would definitely book this property again. Hide

We really enjoyed our stay at Pencarrow which has the most beautiful view towards Fowey. We could sit there all day and watch the boats. The house is well euipped, and having parking is a great benefit. Polruan is a short, fairly steep walk but well worth it. Lovely little village with a great shop for all your essentials. Recomend the Lugger for Read moredrinks and food. Catch the passenger ferry to Fowey Hide

Wonderful situation with one of the best views in Polruan, but property needs attention and cleaning was grossly inadequate. This was our fifth stay at the property in 4 years.

Beautiful locations with views everywhere! Peace and quiet away from it all, quaint town with local sites to see and plenty of walking, be ready for the hills! Just what we wanted, our dogs loved it!
