Polruan is an ancient fishing village famous for its boat building heritage. Perfectly positioned on the Fowey river estuary, which is a thriving centre for fishing, seafaring, shipbuilding and agriculture. This remoteness gives the area an unspoilt charm with its narrow streets and alleyways where flights of slate steps twist between the houses. There are two village pubs and a passenger ferry that will take you across to Fowey. Further afield there are plenty of places to visit and things to do, why not visit the tall ships at Charlestown, take the brewery tour in St Austell or visit the Eden project and/or the Lost Gardens of Heligan. Also for those interested in stately homes why not visit Lanhydrock near Bodmin.
Enter the property into the lounge, which is light and airy with a cosy wood burner and leather sofas to relax and watch your favourite TV programme or watch a movie on the DVD. There is also and iPod docking station and CD player if you are more into your music. Heading through from the lounge to the kitchen/diner, which is contemporary in style and equipped with electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge, just perfect to cook up a storm. The dining area can cater for four people. Leading from the kitchen to the back of the property there is a porch area, leading to an outside utility room, which is a great place to hang coats, wet suits and outdoor wear. Heading up the stairs from the kitchen to the first floor, will lead you to two of the bedrooms and a WC on the landing. There is the master bedroom with super-king-size bed and feature fireplace and there is also a double bedroom with views out to the back of the property. Leading up to the second floor, there is a double bedroom in the eaves of the property (with some restricted head height). You will also find the main bathroom on this floor its contemporary in style and has a separate shower, freestanding bath and WC
Heading outside the garden is accessed via a shared path and 5 stone steps, this gives the advantage of height and you are rewarded with magnificent views over the estuary to the popular seaside town of Fowey. The garden has been landscaped using beach pebbles, old timber sleepers and provides a large timber decked area with outdoor furniture to relax upon whether it's to view the yacht/boat activity on the estuary or simply enjoy the opportunity to live outdoors and hopefully spot the sun.
